Sometimes women who have breast augmentation surgery worry that they will not be able to engage in rigorous physical exercise following their procedure. Doctors state that the answer to this question about how difficult it can be to exercise following breast surgery varies from woman to woman.
If a woman has gotten very large breast implants, this can make certain forms of exercise rather uncomfortable. This is one factor to consider when determining what cup size you want to go up to prior to surgery. Also, as doctors explain, there are certain sports that can become slightly more uncomfortable, such as tennis or golf, where people need to be able to swing their arms all the way across their chests.
Some women find that it is simply a matter of getting used to their new breast size and that once they have become accustomed to their new shape and size, they find that they are able to return to their normal workout routine and also to playing the sports mentioned earlier (tennis and golf).
Of course, there are some active and athletic women who ultimately regret going as large as they do when they get implants, and they may end up going in for a follow up surgery to have their implants removed and replaced with smaller ones. Because there is no definitive way of knowing how you will feel following your own surgery, the best thing you can do in advance of your procedure is to think long and hard about what your level of activity is and how you want to feel while exercising following your surgery.
